The Nyaung U Market in Bagan | Myanmar

During the trip to Myanmar the Nyaung U market in the Mandalay Region in Bagan was truly the first contact I had with the local culture. Although I started the trip in Yangon I stayed there just one short day upon arrival, and the following morning a short flight took me to Bagan.

En route to the final destination for the day, the archeological site on the plains, the bus made a quick stop to visit this market. The experience here was truly unique, we really didn’t have too much time there, but I’ll always remember this place.
