Travel Photography in Bangkok

I visited Bangkok once before, back in 2014, and I have been looking forward to returning to this fantastic city for more travel photography ever since. I had a photo tour of Bhutan scheduled, and this provided the perfect opportunity to spend a few days in Bangkok before traveling there.

As a travel photographer, I was eager to see how much the city had changed over the years and to capture this vibrant place's unique character and spirit.

This was also my first time vlogging. I really don't have any experience filming and or editing, plus I am super camera shy; however, this is a hurdle that I genuinely need to overcome. Obviously, I wanted to document the trip to Bhutan, so a couple of days in Bangkok were perfect for testing my setup and getting used to filming myself. You'll see what I mean in the video below, as I used two cameras, with and without gimbals.

The Fujifilm GFX 100S is my go-to camera for travel photography, but with two bodies, lenses, and tripods, it gets heavy. So for the video, I wanted a minimal setup, so I used the DJI Osmo 3 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max to record it. I think I got decent results in the first video, but I will get better eventually.

Over the course of my trip, I visited some of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks and neighborhoods, from the ornate temples of Wat Pho and Wat Arun to the bustling street markets of Chinatown and the waterways.

I was constantly amazed by Bangkok's endless photographic opportunities, and I was glad to be back.

Anyways, that's enough of words; take a look at the video and the photo gallery below.

That’s all for now, more coming soon, in the meantime, drop me a comment, let me know what you think and check out my new Youtube Channel.
