I am going to be leading a 10 day photo trip, organized by Regent Travel & Tours, to one of the most wonderful places on earth, the journey will take us to the most iconic destinations including the historic Lima, founded in 1536 by spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988 due to its importance during the colonial era.

Our next stop will be Cusco, Capital of the Inca Empire, wears the title of “Archeological Capital of the Americas” with pride, since there is no other place on the entire continent where the monumental remains of a great culture are so easily accessible and in such good conditions. Also declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Next we’ll visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, fertile lands and spectacular views surrounding picturesque communities, including the opportunity to photograph children at a local elementary school, and spend some time with their teachers and families.

Then we’ll experience Machu Picchu, “The Lost City of the Incas” declared World Heritage Site by Unesco and voted of the new Seven Wonders of the World. We are not going to rush here, and we’ll have enough time to visit and take pictures without running, this is an unique opportunity as because of  Machu Picchu, popularity and delicate environment, the future may cause limited access.

We’ll then head to Titicaca Lake, located on the border of Peru and Bolivia, this lake sits 12,500 ft. above sea level making it the highest commercially navigable lake in the world, it is also the largest lake in South America.We’ll have the opportunity to visit Uros Island and Taquile Island and visit indigenous groups.

Anhinga Trail is a great place to shoot birds and some environmental photos, getting there by car is just about an hour from where I live.

I brought with me a Tripod, the Sigma 10-20 mm for landscape shots and also the Nikon 80-400 VR for the birds.

Anhinga Trail, un lugar fantástico en los Everglades en Florida.

Ayer me levanté temprano para hacer una excursión rápida al Anhinga Trail en los Everglades de la Florida, con algunos amigos del Kendall Camera Club.

Este es un lugar fantástico para fotografiar pájaros y paisajes, llegar hasta allí solo me lleva una hora de manejo desde donde vivo.

Sólo lleve un Trípode, el lente Sigma 10-20mm para fotos del lugar y también el Nikon 80-400 VR para algunas fotos de los pájaros.
